All materials and energy must be used reasonably and lastinglyin this ongoing economic cycle to reduce the impact of economic activity on thenatural environment to the smallest possible extent. There are three mainprinciples of circular economy, namely, the principle of "reduction,reuse, and recycling". Each principle is essential for the successful implementationof circular economy. The principle of reduction is aimed at the input and aimsto reduce the flow of material and energy into the production and consumptionprocesses. In other words, waste generation is avoided through preventionrather than end-of-pipe management. The principle of reuse is a proceduralapproach that aims to extend the time intensity of products and services. For aluminum companies to use circular economytheory to guide energy conservation and emission reduction work, “reduction”means to reduce the energy consumption per unit of product, to strengthen theenergy-saving technological transformation of equipment; use of clean energynatural gas to replace non-clean energy coal can also reduce SO2 emissions, Itis also a form of reduction. "Reuse" is to increase the reuse rate ofresources, such as the reuse rate of water, that is, the use of recycled water;the waste heat resources in the production process of aluminum profiles canalso be collected and reused. With the supportof energy saving and emission reduction funds from relevant nationaldepartments, our company has actively carried out energy-saving and emissionreduction technological transformation work by the end of 2008. Its largestproject is the “Optimization of energy-saving technological transformationprojects for aluminum profile energy systems” that was implemented in 2008. Themain contents of the project are: First, the use of natural gas as a combustionmedium at the Merrill Lynch production center, the use of domestic advancedenergy-saving gas industrial furnaces to replace the original fuel kiln; thesecond is to replace the original direct-cooled screw-type chiller Indirectchiller, install AC filter in oxidation control cabinet to achieve reactivepower saving. This project is centered on improving energy efficiency,accelerating technological progress as the foundation, and promoting energyconservation and emission reduction. It aims to promote energy conservation andemission reduction and actively develop circular economy as the main directionfor enterprises to change economic growth patterns. According to the nationaland Fujian energy conservation industry policies, the optimization of energysystems for aluminum production can save a lot of production costs, reduceenergy consumption, and at the same time reduce sulfur dioxide emissions. Theenergy system optimization of the project, the replacement of diesel bycombustion medium and direct-freezer instead of indirect refrigeration, is anenergy-saving and environmental-friendly project. It is in line with China'senergy structure and energy industry policies, and is the trend of futuredevelopment.

During the implementationof the project, the domestic advanced energy-saving gas industrial furnaceswere used to replace the original fuel kiln furnaces. Six aluminum rod castingfurnaces, 30 aluminum rod heating furnaces, 5 aluminum aging furnaces, andelectrophoresis curing furnaces were reconstructed. In Block 2, there are sixaluminum curing ovens, one vertical curing oven, one fluorocarbon curing oven,and the corresponding natural gas pipelines and other utilities to achieve thecombustion medium natural gas instead of diesel. In the Merrill Lynch workshopoxidation production line, 12 direct-cooled chillers with screw type oxidationwere used to replace the original indirect chiller; 22 AC power filters wereinstalled in the oxidation control cabinet to achieve reactive power saving.

In theproduction process of aluminum products, the smelting, casting, extrusionmolding, aging treatment and surface treatment of aluminum rods are the linksfor energy consumption. For this purpose, aluminum rod casting furnaces,extruded aluminum rod heating furnaces, and aluminum materials are used. Thetechnical renovation and innovation of aging furnaces, electrophoresis curingovens, sprayed aluminum curing ovens, indirect freezers, and oxidation controlcabinets are effective measures to save energy and reduce production costs. Theenergy-saving gas industrial furnace after energy-saving technologicaltransformation of the project is 37.89% more energy-efficient than the originalfuel oil furnace with 0# diesel fuel. The combustion of natural gas will notproduce SO2, and the energy saving and emission reduction effect of the projectis significant, which can improve the work environment of the productionworkshop. To promote the development of high-quality, low-cost, high-yield andgreen aluminum profiles, promote the healthy and sustainable development of thealuminum profile industry, and accelerate the development of aluminum profileenergy-saving technology innovation.

While focusingon technological transformation, the company also strengthens the reuse ofresources. In the Dongtian casting line, the cooling water is basicallyrecycled in 100% of the time; the slag generated in the casting process is alsorecycled aluminum alloy. In the oxidation production line launched by the TodaManufacturing Center, a waste heat recycling system has been specially set up,and more than 40 degrees of cooling water can be developed as bathroom water.Special shower rooms are built near the oxidation workshop and can be used byemployees when bathing in cold water.

During the“Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period (any period from 2011 to 2015), the companywill continue to increase energy-saving and emission-reduction technologytransformation projects. The next step is to pass the cleaner productioncertification organized by relevant departments, and the core project ofenergy-saving and emission reduction is the Dongtian Water Gas Reform. Fornatural gas, Dongda's casting and extrusion can use clean energy. It isexpected that the implementation of this project can achieve the goal of cleanproduction in the Dongtian production area, and can also achieve significant energy-savingand emission reduction effects. After the natural gas transformation ofDongtian Production Center, it will realize the use of clean energy in the twomajor production centers of our company, create conditions for the company tosuccessfully pass the clean production certification, and realize thedevelopment goal of creating energy-saving and emission-reducing low-carbonaluminum profiles.
